OUR MODULEX ADVENTURE

Both my wife and I are environmentally conscious outdoor types and we’ve always dreamed of owning a beautiful stone home, built with the most environmentally friendly materials available. Modulex International inc. was the natural choice for us because of its eco-energy wood frame structures and the superior quality walls used in their construction. The walls are made from extruded polystyrene containing a high percentage of recycled materials.

Our project was quite an engineering feat because of the loft in the attic that was a real challenge to integrate and soundproof. We also wanted to install a home cinema in the basement, which required more extensive soundproofing. No sooner said than done! The Modulex International inc. team of designers, technicians, and engineers took care of everything and at no extra cost! We couldn’t believe it!

We had a great time managing the project ourselves. Everything was much easier than we had imagined thanks to the support we got every step of the way from Modulex International inc. and its Privilege Club. Modulex International inc. let us set the pace, and we saved almost $80,000 over the cost of a general contractor, who would have built the same house—but without all the same quality features.

The kitchen designers also worked wonders. They tuned right in to what we were looking for, and the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom coordinated perfectly with our home’s new look.

The Modulex International inc. team was able to figure out exactly what we wanted and draw up the plans for our home based on our simple sketch. We didn’t want a traditional house and we wanted something that was very energy efficient (with big savings on electricity) as well as cozy and stylish. So we chose a home built with a 2x8s exterior wall structure that allows no air infiltration in and looks exactly the way we wanted it.

We also wanted to make sure we didn’t go over budget so we decided to put up our home ourselves, which meant we saved a lot of money and were able to work at our own pace.
